Supposedly she die in her own bed at her California home while sleeping. I hope when it is my time, that is the way I go. My condolence go out to her daughter, who is a good singer like her mother by the way.
I have loved Teena Marie since the first time i heard Fire and Desire with Rick James. I was young then and puberty hadnt ravished my vocal cord so i could hit every note with ease…lol. I would put my head through the collar of my T-shirt and let the fabric of the shirt hang down my back like some long sexy hair, then sing my heart out with a mop or broom as my microphone. Teena Marie is one of those staple people in my life that taught me that in the right environment, like music, race did not matter. light or dark didnt matter, str8 or curly hair didnt matter.
This is in memory or her. She definitely will be missed. I have loved this song since I was little. A classic song by her, enjoy.
