Viki Knox is a New Jersey high school teacher that went on a anti-gay rant on Facebook. So LGBT groups are up in arms to get the teacher who has been at Union High School for 12 years fired. Diamond Stylz discuss her feeling about the case in her new video.

Being a gay man, I agree with you. She did committ a hate crime, steal anything or kill anybody… Lol! She stated her opinion on her own personal time. She has that right. I agree with u 100%. You are hilarious by the way! 🙂

The reason why she should be fired is not because of her views but rather she brought her place of employment into it. She not only mentioned a fellow co worker who is gay she also brought lgbt students of at school into her “conversation” , she crossed a line when she did that. Because then she was messing with employee morale and creating an uncomfortable environment in the work place for lgbt students and staff. That is why she should have been fired for the simple reason that she involved her place of employment in her rants. As the person above me said freedom of speech protest us for government prosectuion NOT societal prosection.

I love you. Seriously. People shouldn’t be persecuted for what they do on their personal time (should be a familiar tune to all LGBT people) unless her employer wants to pay her 16 hours a day of overtime in back pay for all the years she didn’t realize she was accountable to her boss 24 hours a day. It’s true firing her would not violate the letter of the law but it would violate the spirit of the 1st Amendment as well as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There are 75,000 people on the HRC petition to fire this lady when HRC was more than happy to dump trans people during the ENDA debate out in public to the press and the Senate. I’m an atheist and bi and I don’t like anything about this Viki lady except her personal freedom because I’m kind of attached to mine. That is how rights work. They apply to everyone whether you agree with them or not. Another teacher was fired by a Catholic school just for joining an atheist group on Facebook and that isn’t right either. Another teacher was fired for posting a photo of herself holding a glass of wine on Facebook. Why are so many of these firings women? Maybe not “ladylike” enough for the school administrators who think they should all be Mary Poppins. Nice earrings and plaid BTW.

Diamond, we unfortunately live in a society that is so contradictory to what the alleged founding fathers wanted to create…One Nation Under God Indivisible. We are divided on every idea and ideal that it’s not funny anymore…it’s past sad. What is most important here, however is that we not loose sight of the goal of why Jesus came to this earth. We could not get our act together under the Law brought by Moses, so Christ came to give us grace before our Father.
The reality of this is that there are sins that we commit that are an abomination before God. Molesting children and homosexuality are the only two that come to my mind at the moment, but there are more…and we all sin and come short of the glory of God. What annoys me is when those of us who call ourselves Christians do not love our brother and feel that we are not their keeper. WE ARE OUR BROTHER’S KEEPER! And it is our responsibility to live as Jesus commanded us to live: Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. We don’t love God, ourselves or our neighbor and that’s why we’re all in this mess. Now I don’t have a heaven or hell to put anyone in because I will have to stand in judgment before God when that day comes. My (our) job as a true Christian should be to speak love and show compassion to those who are lost and who believe the lies of the enemy, which is Satan, and show them The Way. This creature did not want to obey God anymore and took it upon himself to try to usurp God in Heaven and that is when all hell broke loose.
His jealousy of man and our willingness to follow him is the tragedy. No sin is greater than the other and there is true forgiveness through Christ, but we have to believe and we have to repent. I did not author that…God did, so it is a requirement for salvation. God does not bless adulterous relationships, liers, murderers, child molesters or homosexuals the way He truly wants to bless you. I’m sorry…and please don’t think that I am being judgmental of your lifestyle. I just know that we who sin give up so much joy and true peace that will never be shaken if we just follow Christ’s teachings, which starts by reading the Bible and asking for God’s wisdom and understanding first, and also not following some money hungry person proclaiming to know the Word of God who is a shepherd for the devil himself. There are many of those people out there, but God will give His children all that they need if they ask and believe and turn over their will to Him. He does not want our minds to be reprebated, but that’s what we have when we sin and in His Word it specifically states this curse for the homosexual.
Mrs. Knox may have gone overboard in her views, because there are some people who think that the world has gone overboard with allowing laxed views of ALL SIN..homosexuality is just the “fall guy” for now because of what God did to Sodom and Gomorrah. He destroyed those two cities because the people refused to turn from their sin. He had Jonah go to Nineveh to preach the Word to them because He was about to do the same thing. He didn’t want to because He had mercy on their souls. They did turn away from all that they were doing; they repented and God was true to His word…He had compassion on them and He forgave them. He is the same with us today.
We are the only creatures that occupy two bodies. An earthly body and a spiritual body. Before time began on Earth, we all were with God in our spiritual bodies and when we die, we return to that body throughout eternity. It is a real fact that and we all will have to pay for what we do here in this life…good and bad. We will all be called into judgement before the Father with Jesus as our defender and Satan as our prosecutor.
We can choose to deny this all we want..it changes nothing. All it does is send us to Hell and we live with the regret of not getting right when we had the chance and being forever forgotten by God just because we didn’t want to listen when someone took the time to enlighten us to the truth.
I can understand if this shatters what you may believe from the lifestyle you lead. You don’t want to give it up or stop. But consider this…if you know that what you are doing is wrong and you feel you can’t live without being the way you are and you just haven’t gotten around to seeking the Truth for fear that it may reveal to you how God really feels about your sin, remember this: it was Jesus who knew that the real you were so worthy of saving that He willingly came to save you without regret because He loves you. He gave up so much. Why can’t we sacrifice our pleasures of the flesh and give up our sin and believe He will be true to His Word? What have we got to lose? If He is found to be a lier after we follow everything He said do, we can always go back to the way we were. I hope this brings you peace.

If you could leave religious indoctrination aside, there’s no (rational) comparison possible between raping children, murdering anyone, and consensual, loving relationships between two adults, be they straight or gay. It may be your personal choice to believe in anti-gay interpretations of the Bible, but they are your “truth”, not anyone else’s, and certainly not the Lord’s. He has shown His approval of homosexuality, by always having created, loved, and kept His gay children right here on His planet, as part of His divine plan for mankind. Men may find fault with the Lord’s decisions; they have railed against black people, Jewish people, left-handed people, and a host of others thanks to Biblical interpretation (or misinterpretation), but I daresay God will never stop creating diversity among His children. People are black, gay, left-handed or whatever because that’s how He wants them. Why argue with God?

well i dont know your family…but i have seen some screencap of stuff she has said about gay people and teh convo on facebook that wasnt very gay friendly…now im not gonna question her teachin skills but i would not be comfortable with her teaching my children, especiall if they we gay or ever could be percieve to be gay by her

Thanks for the best laugh I’ve had in weeks! No, Ms. Knox shouldn’t be fired because she exercised her right to free speech, but I, like many others, question her ability to do her job and protect students from bullying, given her beliefs and attitude toward LGBT students. Her employer, the school board, is justified in reviewing her behavior and to make a decision on her fitness as a teacher. If she does get fired, it won’t be because of her rant, it will be because her beliefs prevent her from doing the job she’d paid to do.

I was at the protest last night in Union, NJ. I met a girl who Mrs. Knox kicked out of her class because she was wearing a pride (rainbow colored) bracelet and would not take it off. Her father did not want her involved to testify at the meeting and took her home. Another girl was there though, a few years older perhaps 15, who Mrs. Knox verbally assaulted in her class because she came out as a lesbian. That girl spoke to many news crews in interviews. She was very brave.
Mrs. Knox’s hatred of the LGBT community did not begin here. When DADT was repealed, her twitter feed’s last post (which she closed — @nitenitechick) condemned the repeal of DADT. She really really hates gay people! (I have screenshots)
A 49 year old teacher acting out online about DADT? And then LGBT History Month? She is a hater! Period. It has taken 12 years and the law to catch up to this teacher and her bad ways. This is not an overnight thing, who knows how many children she has harmed along the way.
If her ‘chosen’ religion teaches her to hate, that is fine. But, she must do that hating on her one time and not involve the school or the children she is in contact with. She brought up the school and named names in her rant on Facebook and that is where she crossed the line. If she would have stayed in her white hood in secret that would have been fine. Instead she drew herself into this fire while empowering any anti-gay kids, families, churches, or and any other bullies around her to harm “with good reason” gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender youth.
While we all pray there is no more LGBT suicides, the people of Union, NJ should pray really hard it is not one of their children.
Shame on Mrs. Viki Knox.

Good discussion, but I disagree.
If an old white man had shared on Facebook how he felt blacks (using the N word) should never have rights, and should not be teaching white kids, and called all blacks disgusting, while quoting the bible–citing scripture that supports slavery, I am sure this would be getting the same reaction from the black community. Kids are killing themselves because of bullies like Viki Knox. She should be terminated or she should resign, period.
By the way, Freedom of Speech only protects you from getting arrested, it does not protect your employment.
